On-Air:
The After School Special
Radio Series
From 2022 to 2026, I hosted After School Special, a popular weekly program on WKWZ 88.5 FM. Built around my love of classic rock, the show developed its own personality through signature segments, notable interviews, music history, humor, and a great mix of in-studio guests.
What made After School Special special was its spontaneity. Friends and guests brought something different to the studio every week, creating conversations, debates, laughs, and moments that simply couldn’t be scripted. That energy helped make the show one of WKWZ’s most popular programs.
Four years behind the microphone taught me how to connect with an audience, conduct interviews, think on my feet, and create a show with a voice of its own. After School Special became an important part of my work at WKWZ and helped shape the kind of communicator and storyteller I am today.
Specialty Programming
Mixtape - 100% - Center Stage
Beyond my weekly show, I hosted and curated a series of two-hour specialty music programs built around discovering new ways to experience great music.
Mixtape brought together songs connected by a common thread—whether it was rain, a location, a shared lyric, or an idea that somehow made an unlikely collection of tracks work together.
100% took a deep dive into a single artist, combining essential tracks with rarities and unexpected recordings, featuring everyone from The Beatles to Tame Impala.
Center Stage celebrated the electricity of live music, curating remarkable performances and rare concert recordings that captured those moments when an artist, a song, and an audience become something bigger than the recording itself.
Each series gave me the opportunity to dig deeper into music, curate with purpose, and turn a collection of songs into a story worth listening to.
